2010 GENESEO FREE FLIGHT SCHEDULE
Watch Us Fly This Summer!
How about seeing some exciting model airplane action this summer! There will be three contests at the Geneseo airport, home of the 1941 Historic Air Group. The field is located just west of the SUNY Geneseo campus on Big Tree Lane. Spectators are welcome, and there is no admission charge. The models are beautiful, their flying spectacular. They are not radio controlled, but are free to fly unassisted from the ground.
Flying Aces Club Nationals, July 14-17. Scale model judging and vendor displays are July 14 afternoon and evening at the Quality Inn in Geneseo. This will be the single largest contest of the 2010 season, with emphasis on scale model competition. Over 150 model fliers from the USA and Canada are expected at this competition. There’ll be lots of aerial action by beautiful models.
Empire State Free Flight Championships, August 27-28-29. Sponsored annually by the WNYFFS, this meet is now 40 years old. Various types of gliders, rubber-powered models, and power models will be competing
Can/Am “Great Grape Gathering,” September 17-18-19. The unique name comes from the bottles of Canadian wine given as prizes. The variety of models in this contest is similar to the Empire State Championships.

Air Force Test
This will drive you nuts!!
Have fun!
The object of the game is to move the red block
around
Without getting hit by the blue blocks
or touching the black walls.
If you can go longer
than 18 seconds you are phenomenal. It's been Said that the
US
Air Force uses this for fighter pilots. They are Expected to
go for at least 2 minutes.
Give it a try but be
careful...it is addictive!!

VIDEO
After watching the video, it occurred to me that,
while it is very specific in its focus on Superfund sites,
it will also be of value to our members and clubs that are
approaching all landowners asking for access to land to be
used as a model airplane flying facility. The video runs for
about 11 minutes.
